My Daily Essential Oil Routine

So everyone knows I love essential oils. I mean I even have my own essential oil business! But not everyone knows why I love essential oils.

In 2010, I was diagnosed with a really tough chronic illness, POT Syndrome. It stole all of my teenage years, and even now into my 20s, I am very limited to what I can do physically (another reason why I have my own essential oils business).

I often pass out, am nauseous, get headaches and migraines, have low blood pressure, aches and pains, chronic fatigue, digestive problems up the ying-yang, brain fog, and oh so much more.

About a year ago, I was bad. Like, really bad. I couldn’t walk for more than 5 minutes without using a wheelchair because I would pass out, and couldn’t sit in my wheelchair for more than an hour without also getting sick and passing out. It was a nightmare, but had become my normal.

I hated that it was my normal though. I just wanted to be able to work, go to school, have friends, live on my own, do all the regular “normal.” I would go to all my doctors, and they would basically say to hope I got better. I had tried everything for this condition, and nothing was working.

I am not one to give up easily, so that is when I turned to holistic options. While they aren’t magic bullets, they have definitely made my life better. I love using them daily, for all types of natural solutions. So, here is my daily routine with essential oils!

Morning

So in the morning I get up and roll on Neroli. This is actually a recent addition to my routine, but one that I am definitely keeping! Neroli is great at promoting calmness from anxious feelings. I roll this over my chest so that I can smell the sweet and spicy scent.

Then, I take 3 deep breaths of Balance essential oil, and dab a few drops of my wrists. Balance does exactly what it is named for, and I love the smell!

Next I layer Cheer over top of the Balance. They compliment each other very well emotionally and smell wise.

Then, I roll Peppermint essential oil around my belly button, clock-wise, 3-4 times. Peppermint is great with digestion, and I need all the help I can get!

Lastly, I use Bergamot. I am an enneagram type 3. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the enneagram, type 3’s are driven by success, achievement, and appearance. Sometimes it is very easy for my to almost lose myself in this, so I inhale Bergamot while affirming to myself “I am a child of God, yes I am.”

All of these oils together really help to ground me for the day!

Afternoon

If I haven’t already, I will typically start diffusing now. Lately I have been loving Arise from doTERRA’s Yoga Collection! I also have these favorite diffuser blends!

Sometimes I will repeat with the Bergamot to re-center myself and my identity in the afternoon as well.

Night

At night I typically diffuse the same thing. I get pretty stuffy when I sleep, so Breathe helps to promote open airways. Cederwood is a super calming oil, great for sleep. Then Siberian Fir is one of my favorite scents! It’s also super calming, and all three smell so amazing together!

I typically use more essential oils throughout the day, but these are the oils that I ALWAYS use, no matter what the day brings!
